• Salon Access - My salon is located in a small village called Heselden. It's at 35 Front Street, TS27 4PH. My salon entrance is located in the annex behind my home. You need to go down the back street, through a large wooden gate with a Curly Beast sign on. Sat Nav will probably bring you to my home front door. Don't worry! Either drive around the back street, or walk around. Don't be mislead because my home is a large white building towards the end of a terrace... go ALL THE WAY AROUND to the back street.
• Parking - There is plenty of street parking on the front street. There's also plenty of parking space in the back street next to the salon entrance.
• How to arrive for your appointment - Hair MUST be detangled. It should be clean. Minimal products please. Shampoo and conditioner is fine plus a lightweight styler. I do not factor more than 5 minutes detangling time into my appointments, so if you need me to detangle it for you, message me in advance so I can book in extra time for you. If you arrive with tangled hair, this will be charged at £30 per half hour if time allows. My appointments are back to back so this is not always possible! Please note!
• Waiting Times - My appointments are back to back without breaks. There may be a short wait but I will always do my best to advise you in advance by text if it will be more than 15 minutes.
• Payment Terms - I accept cash and direct bank transfer. You are welcome to log onto my WiFI on arrival. I do not have a card machine.
• Cancellations and Charges - Card details will be taken upon booking and stored securely. You will be charged if you cancel with less than 48 hours or in the case of a no show. Bookings can be managed by yourself via the booking system. I do not take deposits so this is to ensure my time is paid for efficiently.
• Children are welcome to attend the appointment, or if you want to bring a friend or family member with you. I have two spare seats in my salon. Drop me a message if there's more than two of you so I can try to accommodate.
• Contact - During appointment hours I don't always have my phone within reach, and my salon doesn't have 4G phone signal. Please be patient. If I don't answer immediately, try sending me a Facebook message :) If you are lost, my house is very close to the Heselden Working Man's Club.
• Safe Space - I offer Hijab friendly appointments. Curly Beast is an inclusive safe-space welcoming inter-sectionality. I hope my salon is a haven for relaxation and curly comfort. I welcome clients with Special Educational Needs. My salon is located on flat ground with a 7cm raised step into the salon. If you are nervous, it's not a problem I will talk through everything with you. I can offer silent appointments if required.
